Android-powered Samsung Galaxy Camera

Samsung introduced one more Android device. However, this time it is not a smartphone as you all expected. The company is attempting to make a step into a new market. Samsung Galaxy Camera is the product that they start this journey with.

Game changing Galaxy Camera

Will it be a game changer? It is too early to say, but Samsung sent a clear message for it's competitors who still are still struggling with the old concept of photo camera. Samsung's Galaxy Camera allows user to take great quality photo and at the same moment share it online with your friends. Android operating system empowers users to take full advantage of Google Play applications and the capabilities that these applications can offer.

Galaxy Camera has Wi-Fi and an optional mobile-network connection for uploading files wherever you are at the moment. Photo sharing just became even easier.

Compared with a Smartphone

At the moment you may be wondering how it is better than your smartphone's camera. One of the things that set these two technologies apart are 21x Zoom and 16Mpix camera, which none of these are available with any smartphone yet available at the market. Thus, the Galaxy Camera's screen is essentially the same as the one on the Galaxy S III smartphone — a wide 4.8-inch PenTile LCD. Screen resolution is 1,280 x 720 pixels.

Android integration

Device runs Android 4.1 “Jelly Bean” which at the moment is one of the latest versions of Android OS. There have been doubts whether Android can run on photo cameras, but now it is clear that it can and it will. Prepare to see more Android powered cameras coming to the market.

Price

The price for the camera is around $500, but additional expenses could be added if you decide to go with a data-plan. This could add from $10 to $50 monthly to your phone carriers bill.

Samsung Galaxy Camera is already available on AT&T's 4G Network since November 16, 2012.

"Get ready, because photography will never be the same again." - says Samsung
